Countries are organized and actions are taken of which environmental, economic, and energy policies are evolved to mitigate the ever-serious situation. Taiwan, as the part of the international society, also took active role in this issue. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the major GHG part in 1990-2090, and its primary emission sources are concentrated on electricity sector, industrial sector, and transportation sector. Recently, instead of the GHG reduction issue, the energy policies regarding non-nuclear homeland and the promotion of the development of renewable energy were the major issues on electricity sector in Taiwan. However, it’s a significant and urgent challenge to balance difference objectives of environment protection, living security, economic development, and energy using. On this study input-output approach and electricity planning model are adopted to estimate the impact on economy and electricity sector in four topics, eight scenarios. Four topics are non-nuclear homeland (T1), promotion of the development of renewable energy (T2), CO2 reduction (T3), and promoting energy efficiency (T4). The results show that designing T3 impacts on economical goal severely. Designing either T3 or T4 is useful in reduction of energy demand. Designing either T1 or T1 or T3 is useful in reduction of generating cost. Designing either T3 or T4 is useful in CO2 reduction, but designing either T1 or T2 is helpless in CO2 reduction.
