Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 土木工程學研究所 === 91 === Due to the demand of higher quality an ecological environment nowadays, ecological engineering has become a trend of necessity. Having been extensively promoted by academic organizations and government, ecological engineering is widely known in Taiwan. Therefore, the ecological engineering methodology and design charts for stabilizing slopes at toe are provided.
Three engineering methods are investigated: rock breast wall, gabion wall and crib wall, with various widths and inclinations. Utilizing STABL program with input of common soil parameters in Taiwan, the stability benefit contributed by each method are analyzed. Thus specific recommended charts are provided.
Because of the rock strength and the limitation of the required rocks, the design size of rock breast wall can''t be large. Adopting gabion wall, crib wall, or using hard rocks to provide better stability. Generally speaking, gabion wall can provide much better stability than rock breast wall does. Among the three kinds walls, crib wall can provide the best stability.
Additively because plants play an important role in ecological engineering, the stability benefit and the mechanism of plant roots at slopes are introduced as well. The direct shear test results between the areas with plants and with no plants are compared to show the beneficial effect of plan roots.
