Features in engineering parts and products are the form features, which represent design function as well as its manufacturability. This thesis is to bring up hybrid feature recognition algorithms. The system accesses the B-rep data of a solid model based on STEP AP203/214 file format to recognize features. Feature-based CAD system is the tide of part design method currently. The system represents feature with feature profile and feature path, such as linear path and circular path. Differing from the feature recognition systems those represent the part by cutting contour, this thesis emphasizes on the part model using protrusions or pocket contours which are most used during the design phase in feature-based CAD system. Besides the general features, this research also aims at recognizing the transition features, including edge rounded and fillet. To recognize non-orthogonal features in which not all faces are parallel or perpendicular to the planes of the coordinate axes is other goal of this research. 尤春風 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 85 zh-TW
