Considering that geometrical conditions of the shaft-disk-blades system often differ because of discrepancies in designs and requirements, we will also discuss how different geometrical parameters of the shaft-disk-blades system — i.e. the stagger angle of blades and the axial stiffness — affect the natural frequency and coupling effect of the system. According to the result of this research, there exist two kinds of coupled vibration in the system: the longitudinal-shaft torsion-blade bending coupled vibration and the inter-blades coupled vibration. The inter-blades coupled vibration happens at repeated frequencies of the system, and the frequency would be exactly the same as the natural frequency of the blade bending vibration. And according to the study of the system’s geometrical parameters, when the stagger angle of the blades is 0°, the longitudinal vibration does not couple with the blade bending vibration and the shaft torsion vibration of the system, while if the stagger angle of the blades is 90°, it is the shaft torsion vibration that does not couple with the blade bending vibration and the longitudinal vibrations of the system.
