Twenty four specimens were tested to study the effects on ultimate shear strengths of dapped-end beams of concrete strength f’c, shear span-to-depth a/d and horizontal loads Nu, nib depth-to-full beam depth ratio h/H. When a/d≦1, test results indicate that the ultimate shear strengths predicted by Mattock’s【2】 proposals are slightly conservative. Conversely, PCI Design Handbook【1】 are overly conservative. Based on test results, the design recommendations proposed by Tsai【7】 can more accurately predict the shear strength of high-strength concrete dapped-end beams. When a/d>1, test results indicate that the shear strengths calculated by Mattock’s【2】 proposals are overly conservative. However, PCI Design Handbook 【1】 is still applicable for engineering but may overestimate the diagonal tension strength in the extended end. Based on test results, some recommendations proposed by Huang【8】 can predict more accurately the shear strengths of dapped-end beams and make design of reinforced concrete dapped-end beams more economy and safer. 林英俊 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 200 zh-TW
