Vocational education during the past decade breeds a lot of basic technicians who have significant contribution in the stability of Taiwan’s economics. However, the rapid development of the society has influenced the traditional vocational education enormously. It is an important issue to figure out what professional knowledge do we need in such high academic standards. Nowadays the course design of the vocational education mostly follows the principle of the Ministry of Education. Yet the long weekend and the nine-year penetrating policy of the primary schools and the high schools have changed the origin points of the students’ learning behaviors. Compared to the huge change of the students’ learning results, the course policy still seems to mark time. For example, the Data-Processing major in vocational education belongs to Business field but it will go on to scientific field in Information Management in higher education. We then have to think that the objectives of Information Management and Data-Processing really meet. The past researches mostly focus on the course amendment towards teachers more than the graduated students. In addition, there is little research concentrating on single subject. But for the consumer-oriented theory in marketing, the course design should depend on the needs of the professional knowledge of students for the job market. In order to make student more competitive in entering the higher education or job market, this research concludes the following objectives: 1. To realize the situation of the vocational school graduates with Data-Processing major; 2. To understand relationship between the Data-Processing courses and the professional capability in job market; 3. To summarize the researches results and propose them to the Ministry of Education; 4. To confer the outcomes of vocational education and position the Data-Processing education. Above objectives are achieved and some recommendations about vocational education in Data-Processing are proposed in this research.
