碩士 === 東吳大學 === 國際貿易學系 === 91 === This thesis first gives a brief introduction of Taiwan, Mainland China, and Hong Kong’s stock market. We first use the trading volume, the liquidity, the number of listed companies to have a general understanding of each stock market. Then we take a look at the number of companies going public every year, the amount funded, etc. to have a profile of the primary market. It is hoped that readers can understand the markets better before starting the following context. This research is then to discuss different aspects of the market detailedly, including the managerial structure of the primary market, the process of the initial public offering, the ways of underwriting shares, stock pricing, and choices of distribution. After that, it will compare the parts of the previous chapters, and then conclude the research and give advice to further research and companies thinking of going public in any of the three places.
