| Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 建築學系 === 91 === This thesis design attempts to use practically operation to research the possibility of combining with two subjects in contemporary : “Processes of Digital form” ＆ “Existing Architecture”. And showing the procedure of “Gestation” of digital “Generative Architecture” experimentally. This thesis design consists of five major parts. They are shown as follows:
Part Ⅰ--- Destination establish and lectures reviews.There are some close relation between the trend of form developing, the way of form-making, the concept of geometry space, and the operated tools. First, to understand the consistent sequence of ideas by reviewing traditional and contemporaneous theories about form-making, and the cases for the later operation.
Part Ⅱ--- The basic concept of the “Description of Framing Structure Cross-section” established. This research attempts to cite the concepts of “Repetition”, ”Cross-section”, “Simplificative Description”, and “Elements of line” to be the foundation of the “Description of Framing Structural Cross-section”. And making description of the basic meaning, suitable object, and operated processes.
Part Ⅲ---The operation of “Basic-form making” and “Composite-form developing”.This is the first part operation： the operations of “Basic-form making”, including “Analysis” and “Differential Generation”. “Composite-form developing”, including “Migration” and “Constructive Linkage” afterwards. This research not only takes the old major timber factory of Tahsue Mountain Forestry Company as the “Analysis” object, but also old subordinate timber factory of “migration” object. And step by step representing the consequence that carrying out the “Basic-form making” and the “Composite-form developing”. And working on the related generalization .
Part Ⅳ--- The exploration of “Plastic-form inducing” and the plastic-space generating .This is the last part operation: “Plastic-form inducing”, including “Differential Transformation” and “Plastic Integration”. “Generation”, including “Overlap ” and “Flexible Movement” .This part not only takes “Composite-form” as the object of “Differential Transformation” but also “Plastic-form” of “Overlap”. And step by step representing the consequence that carrying out the “Basic-form inducing” and the plastic-space generating. Then working on the related generalization, showing the possibility of plastic-form generating. And proposing the using-suggestion related; figuring out the digital architecture vision.
Part Ⅴ--- Related discussion, conclusions, and the suggestion of later research .This part would discuss the operated procedure of this thesis research, and the positions and value of “Plastic-form” in digital environment. Then generalizing the conclusion of this thesis design, proposing the suggestion of later research.
