Sometimes, there is different in product assembly between the designers’ point of view and the operators’, and that makes the difference in the evaluation of product assembly design. Maybe he thinks the design of part insertion is resistant as a designer, but he thinks the same design is not resistant as an operator. This research’s purpose is how to make application of Design for Assembly more reasonable in these inexact information of the parts’ assembly characters. Application of Fuzzy Logic is to help the product designers to deal with the parts’ inexact characters and fuzzy information. This research tries to build Design for Assembly Evaluation Model based on Fuzzy Logic to make the evaluation more reasonable. This research will build a new calculating method of product assembly time by the developed Assembly Evaluation Model, and hopes that make the product designer could try the more diversified method.
