Average EMCs for TSS, TP and NH3-N are 37.28mg/l, 0.36 mg/l and 0.46 mg/l. Average unit pollutant loadings for TSS, TP and NH3-N are 489.13 kg/ha/yr, 4.74 kg/ha/yr and 5.97 kg/ha/yr. In this study, the total annual cost is estimated by using Annual worth method. Comparing the total annual cost of three cases, the Treatment Train has the highest cost, and the Vegetative Buffer Strip’s cost is lower than the Treatment Train’s one. The wet detention pond has the lowest cost. Comparing the unit cost of each case, for TSS, the wet detention pond has the lowest unit cost. But for TP and NH3-N, the Treatment Train has the lowest unit cost. To estimate the unit area cost from the initial construction cost, it’s observed that the Vegetative Buffer Strip is 94.9 NT dollars per m2. About the unit volume cost, the wet detention pond is 114.5 NT dollars per m3. Comparing the foreign literature for cost estimation, it’s get that the Vegetative Buffer Strip is 93.3 NT dollars per m2, and the wet detention pond is 112.3 NT dollars per m3. Therefore, a result from the foreign cost estimation data would be similar to this study case, which is referred to the BMPs placement in the watershed planning and management process in Taiwan.
