To achive the goals, an almanac was consulted in order to have an in-depth understanding of the actual performance scenario of these schools, to investigate related-theories behind students’ choosing program.According to the study framework & its choice factors of program. As a tool, a compilation was completed of “ A questionnaire of counciling for determining choosing program applicable to comprehensive high schools’ (Volume A) & “ An investigated result of a study on the factors of students’ choosing program ” (Volume B) were completed. To solicit responses to the questionnaires, volume A was distributed to 18 of those comprehensive high schools &volume B to 7 of comprehensive high schools. Questionnaire test was conducted on 906 students of choosing program. The result was gathered by using statistical methods, such as This study concludes as follows: 1. All those comprehensive high schools established by Taipei City Government provide both academic & professional program from which students were free to choice. 2. Those comprehensive high school students, when deciding to take choice program, they took their cues mostly from seminars held by their home-room teachers & school counciling of related subjects & curricula 3. In the process of determining their choosing program, these students feel that their most helpful tips come from information related to data advising ways to enter 4-year & 2-year tech college, then the aptitude & interest-oriented tests held during their first-grade years.
