Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 冷凍與低溫科技研究所 === 91 === This study used exergy analysis of thermodynamics to quantify the irreversibility in each component of a typical designed 100RT water-cooled screw liquid chiller unit, and determine the potential for each component to contribute to overall system energy efficiency. Two modified screw liquid chiller units, are conducted to verify the improvement effect. Comparisons were made to present the improve effect by using exergy analysis. The results indicate that the compressor and condenser of the units hold the greatest potential for improving system energy efficiency. Also, it illustrated that focusing on irreversibility is a more direct way of analyzing the potential for improving the efficiency of screw liquid chiller units. This study introduced a useful methodology to draw an engineer’s attention towards the components where the most irreversibility is and quantify the extent to which modification of one component can affect, favorably or unfavorably, the performance of other components of the system.
