The objective of this research is to apply the image processing technique, strategic decision making and electromechanical integration concept to design and make a billiard robot. CCD camera and image capture card are used to identify the location of the object ball and the cue ball automatically in the billiard vision system. After that, the Gray theory and Fuzzy theory are applied to determine the object pocket and the hitting angle of the object ball correctly and rapidly in the billiard decision making system. Finally, the billiard robot will hit the object ball into the desired object pocket successfully based on the calculated output signal of the developed intelligent control system.
