This change has made the supply of teaching and learning resources an urgent need, and therefore providing sufficient resources has become government’s major promotion. Although Information Technology is quite advanced in our country, the Chinese websites related to Science and Technology Learning area are still very limited. As for the quality and quantity of the website resources of the Science and Technology Learning, teachers often have to take a lot of time to get overloaded information, which usually turns out unrelated to the curriculum. Nowadays, our teaching environment is in need of more and more teachers’ efforts to develop instructional resources to meet our teaching need. Moreover, computers can integrate multimedia to develop lively situations that always motivate students to learn actively. The use of computer applications is a great assistance to teaching. Especially, through internet, teachers can exchange and share teaching resources and to solve the quality and quantity problems that we are facing now. The purpose of the study is to design, develop, and evaluate the website —Simple Machine, and the target users are the elementary school teachers. First of all, the content of Simple Machine is designed on the basis of the curriculum of the Nine-Year Educational Coherence in Science and Technology. Then, according to the process of Instructional System Design, it is analyzed, designed, developed, and evaluated for Grade 5th and 6th’s science teachers’ instructional use. Abiding by the process of Instructional System Design, the study is mainly to develop the instructional materials, and secondly to develop website resources. The purpose of the 'instructional website “Simple Machine” can provide the necessary instructional resources, and facilitate teachers when they plan their curriculum in Science and Technology Learning for Fifth and Sixth Grades.
