Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 工業設計系碩士班 === 91 === There are three special folk art puppet shows in Taiwan; those are including the leather-silhouette show, cloth puppet show and puppet show. Above all, a leather-silhouette show, its nickname is “leather monkey show”. A leather-silhouette show combine with drama and music (accompaniment, sing) and literature (script) handicraft (carve), fine art (modeling and color painting). They are all very worth in our culture property. Now, we just remain five group puppet shows in Taiwan. Also, we face a serious problem that is lack of manpower for these show and there are no people want to promote these show. We will research and analyses Taiwanese puppet shows status and then, how to reserve this traditional art to worldwide. The reason of downgrade will be also analyzed and create a new proposal for puppet show. Finally, in order to promote all people like puppet show in near future, we will create a new concept to upgrade the puppet show. According to above description that we will combine with nowadays technical to create a new concept for puppet show improving, for this plan, we could release a marketing promotion and new concept proposal. Study in Qualification, to investigate into the cause of down falling in the leather- silhouette show, we find and propose on the bases to promote and popularize this kinds of show a summarized as following: 1)Promotion can be helpful to enlarge the scope of viewers and more friendly to publics as well as applicable to the benefits of troupe. 2)How to create an expanding market for such show, the promotion tactic not only to cooperate the troupe with political, economical, environment and social state, more closely, let them having the governmental or enterprises, support or sponsor. 3)To effect sales, a means of promotion not contents of trope, in another words, sales at first, show follows, however the situation is reverse in existing operation of most tropes, carelessly at the viewers’ acceptability. That’s why stagnate occurs at present. 4)Government’s, an essence of this activity, To develop a survival and progressing system, such as guidance and planning on original culture environment, not only inviting famous actor to the show during folk custom season. 5)Leather silhouette show is a still a kind of handwork, not alike the industry mode of operation, It’s hard in developing it up to a theater size of show. 6)Leather silhouette show becomes confusing with the entertainment, the presentation skill and way of sales yet to come to maturity, To upgrade in need of more effort paid by whole environment, theater, viewers, not by troupe themselves only 7)Skill of the leather silhouette show in this territory is a family heritage business, not to the public training, improvement on this topics shall be one of the essential matter.
