Not all of the information technology is appropriate to all of the enterprises. The usage of IT is depending on the model or interaction of competition.In this study we adopted on Michael E. Porter’s five forces model(Bargaining power of buyers, bargaining power of suppliers, rivalry among competitors, threat of new entrants, and substitutes) to analyze the new ITs, such as SCM(supply chain management), ERP(enterprice resource planning), CRM(custom relationship management), BI(business intelligence) and EAI(enterprice application integration). The survey is done by sending questionnaires via mail and based on the sample frame of top 800 manufacturing industries. 800 copies of the questionnaires are mailed out. 114 valid copies return. The valid response rate is 14.3%. The result shows that (1) There is a significantly relationship between the importance of e-business applications and bargaining power of suppliers. (2) There is a significantly relationship between the importance of e-business applications and bargaining power of buyers. (3) There is a significantly relationship between the importance of e-business applications and rivalry among competitors. (4) There is a significantly relationship between the importance of e-business applications and threat of substitutes. (5) There is a significantly relationship between the importance of e-business applications and threat of new entrants. The contribution of this study is that we proposed a best combination of IT to prompte the competition of enterprises.
