Summary:碩士 === 國防大學中正理工學院 === 兵器系統工程研究所 === 92 === For the demand of the marine corps, the armor forces have preceding the project of manufacturing eight-wheel armored fighting vehicles. Among of the components, the studies of armor steels have become one of the main issues. The main purpose of this project is to promoting the bulletproof capability of armor steels and the mobility from reducing the thickness of vehicle. By joining the capability of Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology and the analysis equipment in Chung Cheng Institute of Technology, the fundamental and academic investigations are going to master the key technologies and to perform the databases of process parameters and microstructures. The optimum processes involve design, melting, pouring, rolling, and heat treatment. The bulletproof capability is always related to the resistance of deformation and the ability of absorbing impact energy. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the academic relations for the alloying elements on the bulletproof capability. The mechanical properties are carrying out by the hardness and impact tests. The microstructure observations are performing by metallurgical optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. Finally, the relationships among microstructures, processes, and bulletproof properties are going to developing.
