Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 92 === Abstract This research contains three parts: the sputtering of the metal,CNTs growthing in the furnace by CVD,and the combustion reaction of Ti-coated CNTs. A sputter is used to deposite Ni, which is used as catalyst for growing CNTs, and deposite titanium on CNTs in order to synthesize TiC. For CNTs preparation, acetone was chosen as carbon source, and Ni chosen as catalyst. A CVD method used to grow CNTs at 700℃under Ar atmosphere in the horizontal tube furnace. CNTs prepared were used to deposite titanium film. Ti-coated CNTs were placed in the rectangular reactor and carried out the combustion reaction. By varying heating power and sustaining time to gain the different morphologyies for each step. Products were analyzed by SEM, FESEM, TEM, EDS, and SAED. For CNTs growth, a lot of CNTs were developed; for sputtering, titanium deposited on CNTs successfully, and for combustion reaction, node-like TiC synthesized apparently. We also find TiC from products easily obtained under longer sustaining time observed by higher magnificent microscope.
