Abstract
The purpose of this paper is probe the female elementary school administrative officers’ current participation in leisure activities, the demand for learning contents of leisure activities and the demand for the style of leisure activities. The research methods employed in this study were survey method. The total of the questionnaires are 308 female elementary school officers in the Yun-Chia area. 235 questionnaires were replied and the reply rate is 76.29%. Except 5 invalid questionnaires, the number of valid ones is 230. Descriptive statistics, one way ANOVA, and t-test were applied. Conclusions and suggestions are followed:
(I) Conclusions:
1. The female elementary school administrative officers’ favorite leisure educational activities are outdoor-activity.
2. Female elementary school administrative officers like to attend short time school seminars more. Seminars’ time are from Monday to Friday or in summer and winter vacation.
3. The level of education, administrative years, health situation and family development life cycle are critical factors affecting learning contents of leisure activities.
4. As the style of leisure activities is concerned, female elementary school administrative officers prefer learning leisure activities hold by civic educational institution at the vacation conference during winter and summer vacation.
5. Female elementary school administrative officers prefer key persons to be the lecturer of the leisure learning activities. And they prefer diplomas from the leisure learning activities.
6. The difference of female elementary school administrative officers’ age, the level of education, professional posts, health condition, residential area, marital status, the number of children and the life cycle of family are important factors affecting the style of leisure activities.
(II) Suggestions:
1. Cultivate positive ideas of leisure education, and participate in wholesome leisure activities.
2. Hold social and knowledgeable leisure activity seminar to meet the demand.
3. Design learning activities in leisure way to increase learning interest,
4. Plan suitable leisure learning activities according to the different demand.
5. Build contact and alliance between civic educational institution and schools.
6. Confirm learning outcome by giving diplomas.
7. Some suggestions for future study.
