Accompanying with learning factors like political and economic development; the changing environment of society; quick growth of data technologies; and the changing values of learning, e-education and e-learning has harmonized with traditional teaching and learning domain. Therefore a broadband education network has combined with broadband network and education is truly a topic that is worthy to study. In addition, it’s a key item for this dissertation to study for the troubles encountered by the primary & high school teachers when the e-education applied to the pedagogy. Based on years of job experiences and relative documents study, this dissertation addresses the current situation of broadband network and e-education network. The questionnaire analysis from the primary & high school teachers in Hsin-Chu city area and the studies from other related bibliographies conclude some important view points: Managed IP Broadband network will be the mainstream for the next generation broadband network. The high speed switching ability of GSR/TSR will bring it to be the core equipments for Managed IP Broadband network. Concerning the long-term requirements for e-education network, Ethernet-based FTTB’s options and upgrades for different transmission bit rates from 10Base-T, 100Base-T, 1000Base-T and even to 10G Gigabit Ethernet makes it to be the best choice for Campus Broadband Network application. After analyzing the questionnaire, applications on “Internet searching” and “Internet learning” have been recognized as the most important and frequently used items. For “Network quality of service”: the “Picture clear without jitter” and “Line failure not often occurred” are the most important issues for application. “Fast data transmission rate” is observed to be the most critical concern to the users. “Budget shortage” and “The difficulty of teaching material editing” are the main obstruction items of enhancing e-teaching in the field application. The above conclusion are worthy for relative departments as the reference and their further study.
