碩士 === 中原大學 === 商業設計研究所 === 92 === Besides attracting people through pictures, a completes work would need to pass messages accurately and perfectly by means of the uniqueness of words in the field of visual communication design. With the development of human culture and the progress of designing, the function of characters have been promoted from simply expressing feelings and emotions in early days to focusing on "the beauty of characters" nowadays. The purposes and motivations of this research are based on combing and studying Chinese characters through collecting, sorting and analyzing related history, as well as through actual interviews with modern Chinese character design companies and professors and designers who are in the Chinese character field. Furthermore, according to the result, the various possibilities of digitalizing Chinese character are analyzed and evaluated. The whole procedure of creating different shapes of Chinese characters in digitalized ways is the main concern of this research.
