| Summary: | 碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 休閒事業管理系碩士班 === 92 === The purpose of this study is to understand the situation of Taichung citizens participating in cultural activities, and to examine the factors affecting it. By reviewing previous studies, these factors include population statistics, external factors and participation of cultural activities. Taichung citizens from 8 districts are selected from Household Registration Offices for empirical study.
The research results are listed below.
1. The frequencies of Taichung citizens participating in cultural activities are quite low, no mater in intellectual, exhibition, acting or others cultural activities, all below average. This reveals that government should reinforce advertising cultural activities.
2. For factors affecting Taichung citizens participating in cultural activities, “educational background” would affect the participation in intellectual, exhibition, and other cultural activities; “age” would affect intellectual cultural activities participation; “residence areas” is somehow affecting acting activities and “marriage status” has something to do with others cultural activities.
3. Nowadays Television has become the main channel for people to gain cultural activities information; most Taichung residents enjoy families’ company in participating cultural activities and the main transportation is their own car. The acceptable average cost per person in cultural activities is $301~$500; small space and poor space route are regarded as the most need-to-be-improved space problems.
Based upon these results , this research proposes 10 suggestions to public departments, private companies, citizens, and to future reference of holding cultural activities.
