Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 都市計畫所 === 92 === Transportation and land use are mutually dependent. For example, the number of trip generated in an area is affected by its land use intensity. The goal of each trip is related to its land use type. The trip distribution is determined by the general land use allocation. Therefore, the characteristics of trip pattern can be seen as a mirror image of urban spatial structure(Drewe,1975). The attempt of this thesis is to explore the spatial structure of Taipei Metropolitan Area through an analysis of the characteristics of trip pattern from (Meier,1962;Chapin and kaiser,1979). First, “Entropy” is applied to measure the dispersion of trip distribution. Next, the dispersion patterns and the spatial distribution of economic activity are compared. From the analysis results, first one may conclude that no significant centripetal tendency is observed. Also, the influence of the core of Taipei Metropolitan Area does not extend to the entire survey. In other words, the actual boundary of Taipei Metropolitan Area is smaller than the survey area.
