Accordingly, the effects of injection-molding processing parameters on the volumetric shrinkage and surface-profile deformation of aspherical plastic-lens are studied by means of the use of Taguchi method used for determining important processing factors and the commercial software Moldflow used for the analysis of injection molding of plastics in this thesis. This study includes four issues as followings: (1) the determination of important factors for volumetric shrinkage by means of Taguchi analysis method, (2) the effects of specimen thickness and processing parameters on shrinkage behavior, (3) the effects of important parameters on the volumetric shrinkage and surface-profile variation, and (4) finding the optimized or acceptable processing parameters. The analysis and simulation scheme to identify the status of injection-molding processing of aspherical plastic lens is developed.
