It also promotes better efficiency, coordination and support between departments, and creates the new business values. The process of developing e-Business is an integrated innovation and a new business model. Since e-Business integrates legacy information systems and business procedures with e-Business application system, the revolutionary impact both inside and outside of organization, including re-strategize, re-process, reconstruct, revitalization, and etc. However, it cannot be avoided. As a result, the Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is very important and it makes a corporate re-exam itself. This study conducts field interviews on six companies in Taiwan. Through case studies on corporate constructing e-Business successfully, we can understand that how they apply Business Process Reengineering in the industry and the following points are concluded to be the references afterward. In the progress of constructing e-Business, it is necessary to apply Business Process Reengineering, at the same time to accomplish its target and the performance. 1. In order to construct e-Business well, BPR has to be done in the planning phase. It makes the system development more smoothly. 2. It is especially important to apply BPR in the planning phase if a corporate chooses outsourcing the e-Business services. 3. Enterprises that apply BPR better during both planning and system-developing phases get greater performance after carrying out e-Business. 4. The higher is the fit between e-Business development and BPR implementation, the greater e-Business performance will be.
