Summary: | 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 應用美術學系碩士班 === 92 === When a new medium arrives, our consciousness of aesthetic feelings shifts to meet the new age. The digital world we are living in is rapidly developing a myriad of electric medium and new aesthetic viewpoints are created by the virtual nature of the Internet World. Research on this rapidly changing aesthetic has become a new and important area of aesthetic consciousness study.
In the other hand, we suppose to believe that games have been prior to culture development. Then, it will be the first step to research on the culture origins to begin with this study. This hypothesis comports with verifying and studying the characteristics of new age culture. By researching and analyzing Game Theory we may be able to recognize and understand the innate characters of the virtual world.
In order to establish the theory of virtual reality consciousness of aesthetic feeling; this thesis will combine two categories-mediums and games. This study uses the Meta-Research and Documentary Analysis Method a chief means of analysis. Study, will prove various relationships between medium and games. This thesis will also layout and establish categories and frameworks for a model of virtual reailty aesthetic theory. This study infers a conclusion that the medium and social codes are important elements affecting aesthetic thinking thus creating new types of aesthetics.
Finally, this thesis establishes that aesthetic conscious of virtual reailty is a new and important endeavor of aesthetic studies born of the digital age. After discussing the aesthetics theory of virtual reality, we will put forward a new complex theory to connect different disciplines making a more unified and holistic picture of virtual aesthetics.
