Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 應用統計學研究所 === 92 === Recently the content of volunteer service driven by advanced countries like USA and some European countries has converted from conventional charity volunteer service to organization type, providing diverse services, and even initiating or affecting governments on establishing the relevant policies. And to promote the public’s willing of participating in volunteer work and improve service grade, Taiwan has promulgated the “Volunteer Service Act” in 2001. Yet can this Act enlarge the amount of volunteers attending to the public service and improved the attendee’s quality? Besides, the volunteer service is a human-resource-utilization task, it’s a crucial issue to understand the structure of volunteer service manpower. This study is based on the survey of Social Development Trends Survey conducted by Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting & Statistics (DGBAS), Executive Yuan in 2003. We use Contingency Table analysis and CHAID to figure out the main factors affecting the participation of volunteer service. Then, we apply logistic regression to explore the influence of each variable to whether the samples have been attended volunteer service and item of volunteer services being attended. That is, using the large-scale survey data conducted by Government to make analysis and explore the population characters that have influenced the volunteer service. And hence we try to provide some reference to Government in making the volunteer service policy, impel volunteer service and recruit volunteers.
