Meanwhile, this study also investigates how the teachers at elementary schools in Taipei County perceive the actual curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals, and if the perception is different from the principals. In order to collect research data, this study is done by giving principals and teachers questionnaire and interview to reach the objectivity and authenticity in this study. After integrating literature, this study comes up with six goals for curriculum leadership of the principals as following: 1. to establish the expectation for the school and the purpose of the curriculum 2. to promote the teachers’ professional development 3. to help the school found the core team for the curriculum development 4. to provide support for the curriculum development 5. to create good culture and atmosphere at the school 6. to implement the evaluation on the curriculum and teaching. The questionnaire on the curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals at elementary schools in Taipei County is based on these six points. Sixty copies of the questionnaire for the principals were sent out, 50 copies were returned, and the return rate is 83%. Regardless of the copies that were not filled completely, there were 49 valid questionnaires, and the valid rate is 81%. Five hundred and four copies of the questionnaire for the teachers were sent out, 378 copies were returned, and the return rate is 75%. Regardless of the copies that were not filled completely, there were 363 valid questionnaires, and the valid rate is 72%. The data were analyzed in terms of average, t- test, 1-Way ANOVA. By analyzing the result of the questionnaire and the data of the interviews, this study concludes as following: I. The self-awareness of current curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals at elementary schools in Taipei County is generally well. II. The perception of the teachers at elementary schools in Taipei County about the curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals is generally well. III. The curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals do not vary obviously due to the background variables. IV. Male teachers have higher perception of the curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals. V. Thos who have been teaching for more than 20 years have higher perception of the curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals. VI. The curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals do not vary because of the history of the school, the scale of the school, and if the school takes part in the Grade 1-9 Curriculums. VII. Teachers at the school with less than 12 classes have higher perception of the curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals. VIII. Teachers at the school in which the history is between 31-50 years and above 51 years have higher perception of the curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals. IX. The principals and the teachers have different perception of the curriculum leadership behaviors of the principals. X. The difficulty that the principals face at curriculum leadership development is the resistance of the teachers. XI. The Principals at curriculum leadership development were able to communicate and pay respect and endurance to reduce the resistance of the teachers.
