However, the indoor air quality (IAQ) contains in uncertainty of the microorganism pollution and the disease infection. This research aims at (A) the measurement of the microbiological distribution in HVAC Duct Systems for various rooms and (B) the improvement of microbiological with efficiency in HVAC Duct Systems. Several offices of different types are to be chosen in Taipei, using equipment to determinate microbiological and investigate the environmental details. Then it is to disinfect with the ultraviolet ray. This procedure would be carried on in a period of weeks. Finally, the suggestion to the building regulations would be proposed. The results demonstrate, 1. that the air condition piping systems content propagate for the microorganism easily, and the situations different from its environment, 2. that the ultraviolet ray disinfects effectively, lighting for about half an hour with efficiency of microbiological reduction over 90% and 3. that the possibility of propagating again after disinfecting, therefore a periodical maintaining would be necessary.
