Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 電子與資訊工程研究所碩士班 === 92 === In this thesis, we focused our studies on the printed slot antenna designs and applications for wireless communications. We proposed several slot antenna designs operating at the widely used bands of wireless communications, such as Bluetooth, WLAN and HIPERLAN bands. In these studies, a printed slot antenna fed by the CPW-fed with a tuning stub for Bluetooth/WLAN dual-band operations and another for Bluetooth/HIPERLAN dual-band operations have been presented. A printed slot antenna fed by the microstrip-line-fed for operating at Bluetooth and WLAN is also shown. In addition, the diversity microstrip-line-fed slot antennas with a T-shaped tuning stub, which is also excited as a radiating element, for the 2.4/5.2 GHz dual-band operation and another with a simple tuning stub for the 5.2/5.8 GHz wide-band operation are presented. The performance of diversity antenna can combat the multipath interfering problem and enhance system performances. Finally, the performances we have achieved in these antenna designs not only satisfy the specific requirements of the wireless communication systems, but also show good antenna patterns and antenna gain.
