The residual strain due to steel corrosion is determined and compared with the experimental data, and that can be used to be a failure criterion of concrete. From the micromechanics analysis, the corrosion stress of concrete simulated by means of the cubic anisotropic material properties of the steel is more close to the experiments that simulated by isotropic ones.
