As results, the elderly very often gets serious injuries and even loses their lives. This study is to observe how the elderly is walking on the stairs through 12 elder male and 12 elder female, and to discuss how the height and depth of the stairs affect the moving performance of the elderly''s lower limbs. Subjective evaluation was used to evaluate the perceived physical effort and the perceived risk level while the elderly walking on the different stairs. Video-taping and postural analysis were used to evaluate whether aging has an effect on stair-walking performance in comparison with 12 young men and 12 women. The results showed that when the elderly walked on the stairs with higher step, the distance between toe tip and stairs’ edge is shorter; the bending degree of the knee joint is smaller, and high BMI value on both male and female may have differences on the lower limb''s moving performance when walking on the stairs. This study suggests that the stair with the height of 14 cm and the depth of 29.5 cm be much proper to the elderly. 張仁履 2004 學位論文 ; thesis 100 zh-TW |
