We will present the most popular wireless network standard - the IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN. We seek to provide service differentiation in IEEE 802.11 Distributed Coordination Function (DCF) mode under Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. We simulated these differentiation mechanisms. There are three differentiation mechanisms simulated: Backoff Increase Function, Minimum Contention Window Size (CWmin) and Distributed Inter Frame Space time (DIFS). We showed the simulated results of these three differentiation mechanisms in individual and combined situations. We observed that combining two or more differentiation mechanisms increase throughput differentiation. Jan-Ray Liao 廖俊睿 2004 學位論文 ; thesis 34 en_US
