Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 生命科學院碩士在職專班 === 92 === Based on the records by characteristic distinguishing and total counting in the Northern Baquashan of Changhua,Taiwan, from March 1 to April 10, 1999 to 2004. The amount of Grey-faced Buzzard Eagle (Bustastur indicus) passed through Baquashan were 11,000 to 21,000 in every spring; Divided into four main periods in spring migration. The weather is not the important factor to influence the hawks passing and dividing the periods. First period is 75 ± 3 of Julian day , second period is 82 ± 4 of Julian day, the third period 89± 3 of Julian day and the fourth period is 96 ± 4 of Julian day . Four periods may caused by differential wintering areas. There is difference between adult and juvenile in spring migration. Adult Buzzard Eagle migrated earlier than juvenile. More adult migrated before 82 Julian day (March 23 ) and juvenile migrated in 92 Julian day(April 2 ). The flying speed of passing through the land lump or the mountain region is 28.9±9.6 ㎞/h, the speed of crossing the plain and ocean 18.8±3.7 ㎞/h.
