The study uses “content analysis”. The conclusions of this study are as follows:
1. Content analysis of violence in televised sports:
(1) In the sport news and sport programs, the ranking about the sport violence in televised sport report are: basketball; soccer and baseball. The contact sports often have the body-violence; the less body contact sports have the tool-violence and the destroyed-goods. The action-violence comes from argue about judge of umpires.
(2) Sport violence often happens to players. There are different between sex and violence categories.
(3) Description sport violence, sport news take “emphasize” but sport programs as “neutrality”. “Sport Center” utilizes the replayed in slow-motion; “Video-Land sport news” often utilizes slow-motion. Sport programs utilize replayed in slow-motion.
(4) Sport violence includes in the sport news reported event. Sport violence appears in the position of sport news that differ from sport news programming.
(5) The performance; legitimate body contact; behavior of coaches and media intensity are the elements of the structure and the situational of sport that effect sport violence.
2. Frame about violence in televised sports:
“Sport Center” and “Video-Land sport news” place star players to attract audiences. Using aside in a play and pictures emphasize sport violence. They choice sport violence pictures as attack condition and commentaries state the positive of sport violence.
