Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 國民教育研究所 === 92 === The purposes of this research could be put specifically:(1) perceive the status quo of elementary school students’ Family Environment, reading attitude and writing performance(2) probe into the differentiation on Family Environment, reading attitude, and writing performance of elementary school students with different backgrounds(3) grasp the relationship between Family Environment and writing performance among elementary school students(4) grasp the relationship between reading attitude and writing performance among elementary school students (5) explore predictability in writing performance based on elementary school students’ Family Environment and reading attitude. This research adopts questionnaire method. The research objects are the third graders from the public elementary schools of Kaohsiung City. utilizing the method of cluster sampling to sample After keying in the questionnaire data, analysis and test are undergone by means of the statistic methods such as descriptive analysis, t-test, oneway analysis of variance, product movement correlation, and multiple regression. The main part of discovery from this research: 1. Roughly, elementary school students of Kaohsiung City have good Family Environment and reading attitude. 2. Elementary school students’ writing performance needs to be strengthened; besides, theirs varies on a large scale. 3. Elementary school students of different genders have no obvious differences in Family Environment . Elementary school students of different members of the family show obvious differences in Family Environment One or two members of the family will doing well than three or four members of the family. 4. Elementary school students of different genders have obvious difference in reading attitude . The schoolgirls’ reading attitude is better than the schoolboys’. Elementary school students of different members of the family have obvious difference in reading attitude. If there is one or two or three members of the family whose children will be superior to over four members of the family. 5. Elementary school students of different genders show obvious different performance in writing. The schoolgirls’ performance in writing is better than the schoolboys’. Elementary school students of different members of the family also have obvious difference in writing performance. The only one member of the family whose writing performance is superior to over three or four members of the family. 6. Elementary school students’ Family Environment is related proportionately to writing performance. 7. Elementary school students’ reading attitude is related proportionately to writing performance 8. Elementary school students’ Family Environment and reading attitude could partially forecast the writing performance. According to the study result, We suggest that the school and teachers should often hold parents-faculty discussion to help the parents have correct sense about writing and furthermore to strengthen the communication between parents and teachers in order to know the family environment about students well. The teachers in school have to offer guidance to the students who have bad family background, and moreover, make best use of reward system to help the students have good reading habits and attitude. We suggest that parents should enhance the quality and quantity of language interaction at home. You can have all kinds of activities in normal times and try your best to set up all kinds of education equipment for children in order to build happy family atmosphere for students having to create an excellent family environment. We also suggest that it is good to increase the reading time to your children and to reduce watching TV, playing video games to help your children have good reading habits. We encourage family members to study together to develop children to like reading as well. In addition, each family still has to make your family plan well and be concerned with your children and to fair to them. According to the research later, we suggest you can add quality research in it by opening problems and the way of the talk. The area of the research can add some other grade, area. You can think about accept the teaching style of teachers, the method of the teaching, peer interaction, the atmosphere of the class and other variables. The final research means is suggested that you can adopt questionnaire method to make it.
