The purposes of the study were to explore the practicability and current status about Implementation knowledge management in the elementary schools. According to this research, the findings proposed the suggestions for educational administrative organizations, elementary schools’ administrative organizations. The data was collected from the survey questionnaire. The survey instrument was developed by the author. There were 841 teachers and school staffs sampled from 80 elementary schools in Chiayi City and Chiayi County. Among them, 721 was valid. For this study, the statistics methods used in this study were t-test and one-way ANOVA.
The following conclusions were drawn based on the research findings:
1. The teachers and school staffs of longer service years or with administrators have a higher awareness of the practicability about Implementation knowledge management in the elementary schools.
2. The female teachers and school staffs have a higher awareness of the practicability about Implementation knowledge management in the elementary schools in terms of “knowledge acquisition”.
3. The teachers and school staffs with degrees from Teachers’ Colleges have a higher awareness of the practicability about Implementation knowledge management in the elementary schools in terms of “knowledge application and innovation”.
4. The teachers and school staffs in middle and large schools or in 21-30 years of school foundation or in city and country or in Chiayi City have a higher awareness of the practicability about Implementation knowledge management in the elementary schools.
5. The teachers and school staffs of longer service years or principals have a higher awareness of the current status of knowledge management in the elementary schools.
6. The female teachers and school staffs have a higher awareness of the current status of knowledge management in the elementary schools in terms of “knowledge repositories ”. The male teachers and school staffs have a higher awareness of the current status of knowledge management in the elementary schools in terms of “knowledge application and innovation ”.
7. The teachers and school staffs with degrees from Teachers’ Colleges or else or master’s degrees have a higher awareness of current status of knowledge management in the elementary schools in terms of “knowledge application and innovation”.
8. The teachers and school staffs in large schools or in 21-30 years of school foundation or in city or in Chiayi city have a higher awareness of the current status of knowledge management in the elementary schools.
