Vocabulary is an existing form of a language, as well as a foundating of language learning.Human being starts to learn and use vocabulary from the very beginning of mumbling to the life time. During the period,it has only conversion but no disconnection.Just because which is a matter of life span,it obviously shows more important to us.
It has not had wholly survey of Taiwanese vocabulary and its real usage at Dajia town till now. We don’t know these Taiwanese vocabularies on the Taiwanese text book based on the 9-year education programs according to what to be taught in sequence.
The thesis complied Taiwanese vocabularies more than 28000 first. And then through field research, it sorted out Dajia town frenquently used words 9450. According to the come out, it listed the order of its frequency.On one hand, hoping it can construct the data base of frenquently used words,on the other hand,hoping it can provide with some certain reference for text book editors and teachers.
Chapter 1.“Introduction ”The chapter explains the motives and purposes of the thesis research. It also includes relevant documents reviewed, the compass and limitation of the research, the methods and steps of research, schedules of work and so on.
Chapter2.“The research of glossary frequently used in Taiwanese in the area of Dajia town, Taichung county, Taiwan.”It includes the brief introduction of Dajia town and the relevant explication of this research survey.
Chapter3.“The comparing of all ages of frequently used Taiwanese vocabulary at Dajia town.”The chapter includes four different layers ages of using frequently used Taiwanese in degrees and comparison. It also has in comparison with the other researchers. Moreover, It discussed the most 1026 frenquently used Taiwanese using in different layers ages.
Chapter4.“The discussion of category from“inflection”often used in Taiwanese at Dajia town Taichug county, Taiwan.”The chapter discusses the categorizing methods of“inflection”,funther classifies the most frequent used top-1026 Taiwanese vocabularies in the area of Djia town. It also makes comparisons with Hsiushui town and Tianjhong town of Chang-Hua County.
Chapter5.“The category of exploration of“event category”most frequently used in Taiwanese in the area of Dajia town, Taichung County, Taiwan.”
The chapter discusses sorting approaches of“event category,”and categorizes the most frequently used Taiwanese top-1026 words at Dajia. It also makes research and comperison with those of Hsishui town and Tianjhong town of Chung-Hua County.
Chapter6. The exploration of“word formation.”frequently used in Taiwanese at Dajia town, Taichung county, Taiwan. This chapter aims at discussing the sorting methods of“word formation,”and classing the most frequently used top-1026 words based on“the ways of word formation”It also makes comparison with those of Hsiushui town and Tianjhong town of Chung-Hua County.
Chapter7.“Conclusion”The chapter contains general description process of research, the result and appraisal of this research, suggestions for Taiwanese language teaching, suggestions for further research, some points of view about current Taiwanese language education as well as conclusion.
