It forms the body parts of the automobile, which is the most complicated mass product in the world. Since international competition, stamping die is needed to create a better quality, low cost, and quick delivery time. In stamping die design, researchers throughout the world have spent numerous time and effort to improve computer-aided tools. In this thesis, the software dedicated to the parametric design process of 3D drawing die for lid outer panel is illustrated. Its code is written in Visual Basic Application embedded in CATIA. The software includes two sections: Section one is called “Parametric Die Structure Design”, which will pop out the blanks related with their graphical die structure for designer to fill out their dimension step by step. Section two is “Parametric Standard Part Design”. In this section, the standard parts are chosen from parametric standard part catalog, entered dimensions on graphical illustrations, and positioned at graphical die structure piece by piece.
