And also it will offer a proposal for environmental education. To get through the objective, the study was based on the relative documents. It was also done in view of theory and practice. The researcher started with the stratified systematic sampling and found 556 students from junior high school students as samples during the second semester of the school year in 2002. The researcher got all the data from the answers of them. Then, researcher tried in the statistical ways, such as t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Person product-moment correlation. At last, there are seven conclusion about students’ environmental knowledge and attitude. I. Junior high school students have already had basic knowledge and active attitude for the environment. II. Girls are more active than boys in the attitude. III.Elder students know better and are more active than younger ones. IV.The students whose family income is $10,001~$50,000 or $50,001 ~$100,000 know better and are more active. V. The students who have never met with the misfortune in the industrial safety know better and are more active than those who have. VI. The students who have smelled the stench air and seen the waste-water know better and are more active than those who haven’t. VII.Students’ environmental knowledge is apparently related to their attitude. According to the consequence of this study, there are some proposals offered to the environmental education office and those who will keep on studying.
