Finally the study found out reasons that affect teachers’ integrating Internet resources into instruction and advance suggestions. To establish a theoretical basis for this study, the study was adopted literature analysis to probe into not only the kinds, characteristics and advantages of Internet resources but also the development of integrating Internet resources into teaching. The study was also looked into related factors, theories and investigations that are based on concrete evidence. On the principle of stratified random sampling, we conduct a questionnaire survey of junior high school teachers in Taoyuan County. The study was sent out 944 questionnaires and 529 were returned, of which 466 were valid (49.4% valid response rate). After analyzing the data by descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlations, we made the following important discoveries: I. Most teachers don’t feel anxious about the teaching method of integrating Internet resources into instruction. II. The main reason that teachers integrate Internet resources into instruction is to make their instruction varied and lively. III. The main reason that teachers less frequently use Internet resources is that they often cannot find the information they need. IV. The most frequently adopted method for teachers to use Internet resources is to collect information through WWW search engines. V. In Taoyuan County, most teachers use Internet resources to supplement the content of instruction. The most frequently used teaching method with the aid of computers and the Internet is to have students use the Internet to gather information and then discuss in groups. Getting on the Internet to gather information is the most frequently used method for teachers to edit and compile the teaching materials. It is expected by the most people that school units should be able to create quality web pages of each field to help teachers utilize computers and the Internet to make teaching preparations. VI. Among different teacher background variables, there exists a significant difference between the situation of using Internet resources and the following factors: whether to get on line at home, different years of service, field in teaching, and degree of computer literacy. VII. Among different teacher background variables, there exists a significant difference between the situation of integrating Internet resources into instruction and the following factors: whether to have attended related seminars, years of service, and degree of computer literacy. VIII. There is a significant difference between the situation of using Internet resources and the situation of integrating Internet resources into instruction. To sum up, according to research results, the thesis found out the difficult problems that teachers had when they integrate Internet resources into instruction and further suggestions about how to encourage junior high school teachers at Taoyuan County to integrate Internet resources into instruction.
