There are seven mud volcanoes at Wushanting Mud Volcano Nature Reserve Taiwan, the 2A mud volcanoes is second height of seven. Venting frequency, bubble size, gas flow rate, water content, temperature, mud surface level, mud tongue of 2A mud volcano are measured every day from 2003/03/01 to 2004/02/29. Venting frequencies are 3~15(bubbles/min), bubbles sizes are 15~60cm, gas flow rates are 0.89~207.54 (m3/hr), water contents are 41.52~51.6％, temperature are 23.2~27.4℃, average distance from mud surface to top of mud cone is 16.4cm, mud tongues length are 10~18m. According to unusual activity and mud tongue length, divide 2A mud volcano activity whole year into 3 periods: violent period, variation period and stable period. Every period according to activity characteristics divide into several types. Interrelations of earthquake, precipitation and air temperature and 2A mud volcano activity are discussed. 2A mud volcano transmits 216~432 tons methane into the air.
