The purpose of this research is to explore the motivation and working satisfaction of the female volunteers In Hwa-Lien District who join in the voluntary service, and Further to analyze the individually dissimilar Characteristics, the household factors, the service conditions, and if there is any discrepancy between the participating motivation and the working satisfaction, as well as the satisfactory factors that affect the women’ participating in the voluntary service work.
This research is adopted the method of questionnaires, and total 374 of female volunteers in the units related to Social welfare and in the Xing-Ho Project in Hwa-Lien District have been taken as a sample to analyze its surveyed data by the manner of mean, standard difference, percentage-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffes’ poster test, and Pearson product.
Primary Discovery is specified as follows:
1. The age level of the female volunteers in Xiang —Ho
Project in Hwa-Lien District is 40~49 years of age;
vocationsare are mostly the housewives, and educational
background occupied most of the proportion is the
vocational high school.
2. As far as the integral participation motivation is
concerned, the female volunteers in Xiang-Ho Project in Hwa-
Lien District join in the voluntary service mainly for the
motivation of contacting with the society, secondly, of
expressing their social liabilities and acquiring knowledge
and technique, and the self-growth, etc. There is a
conspicuous diversity of the participation motivation of
the female volunteers who have diverse vocations marriage
status and races.
3. For the satisfaction of entire work, the female volunteers
in Xiang-Ho Project in Hwa-Lien District, the highest
working satisfaction is the self-affirmation, and then the
next is the interaction with partners, in sequences, as
organizational welfare and others’ affirmation, etc. The
female volunteers, who are in different vocations, and
serve or not serve as the cadres, have an obvious
divergence on the job satisfaction.
4.The interrelated analyses between the participating
motivation and the working satisfaction, both are related
noticeably as the stronger the motivation of the female
volunteers join in, the higher the job satisfaction they
gain from.
