The sampling method is convenience sampling. Samples(n=573)are drawn from the university students in Taipei City and Taipei County. Instruments of this study include demography and mating preferences scale. The statistical analyses are processed using SPSS for Windows(10.0)program, including frequence distribution and percentage, t—test, one—way ANOVA, Scheffe’s posterior comparison, Chi-square test, and Pearson product—moment correlation. The major findings are as follows: 1. Individual differences Individual differences include key variables like genders, birth orders, and religions. (1)Gender:Female students stress more on physiological—condition, social—condition, and psychological—condition compared with male students. (2)Religion:Undergraduate’ s with religious belief care more about physiological-condition and social—condition than those who have no religious belief. (3)Birth order:The youngest child in the family values physiological—condition more than the single child in the family does. On the other hand, the eldest child in the family, they consider more on social—condition. 2. Familial differences Familial differences can be researched in two conditions—family socioeconomic class and parents’ harmony. (1)Family socioeconomic class:In comparison with the low socioeconomic class, the high family socioeconomic class emphasizes more on physiological—condition and social—condition. (2)Parents’ marital harmony:Undergraduate’ s parents who have marital harmony incline to prefer social—condition and psychological—condition. 3. The major finding of marriage gradient (1)Female students prefer ideal spouses to be senior, taller, same educational level, and better economic status. (2)Most male students prefer ideal spouses to have same—leveled education and economic status. As for age factor, it doesn’t count much. Jou Li Duan 周麗端 2004 學位論文 ; thesis 115 zh-TW |
