碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 設計研究所 === 92 === The purpose of this thesis is to discuss with the illustrative development of children literature and status quo from Western painting history, explore illustrations of classical stories with respect to animals and children, and compare with different illustrators in shaping characters and their applications of scenic style and technique analysis. Furthermore, the thesis also explores illustrations, especially for diverse application at general literature, children books and children illustrative books, and also analyze the function of illustration, relation with both figure and text, and layout proportion, and analyze traditional hand illustration and CAD which has each character, limitation, media, technique, technical expression, style fashion, and artwork application respectively. Personal creation is oriented from fancy fairy tales drawing books, and the main characters are animals and children (aged between 8 to 12). Hand illustration is the major technique and cooperates with CAD to integrate their features. Therefore, the creation is oriented fairy tales illustrative book and applies to monthly calendar’s design application.
