It is derived from an extension of the basic principle of traditional missile navigation, Marine Geographical information System(Marine GIS) and Supervisor Control And Data Acquisition System(SCADA). All dynamic data from outside systems, such as AIS as well as environmental data from various sources can be fully integrated with Marine GIS, which can then assist in finding Collision Risk. It will be able to present an appropriate avoidance decision support, taking into consideration all the available data: bathymetry, environmental conditions.
