The method of convenient sampling was employed to test 77 second, third, and fourth grade elementary school students. Internal consistency reliability, inter-scorer reliability, difficulty and construct validity were examined in order to test the reliability and validity of the Test of Gross Motor Development 2nd edition. The test results were analyzed to reach the following conclusions: 1.The internal consistency α were .81 ~ .91, the gender-specific α were .83 ~ .92, the age- and gender-specific α were .80 ~ .94. The result showed that TGMD-2 had high stability when tested on second to fourth graders, and satisfactory internal consistency, which was not affected by age and gender. 2.The Pearson correlation of two different scorers were .90 ~ .93. The result showed that TGMD-2 had high inter-scorer reliability. 3.To seven, eight, and nine years old children, the average difficulties of TGMD-2 were .72, .79, and .85, respectively. The total average difficulty was .80. The result showed that TGMD-2 appeared relatively easy to the children aged seven, eight, and nine. 4.The factory analysis showed four potential factors, and the total variance after rotation was 64.24%. The correlation between item-test and sub-test were .32 ~ .78, and the correlation with the overall test were .17 ~ .69. The result showed that TGMD-2 has good construct validity.
