It is estimated that the annual production value will be one trillion dollars from the year 2010 to 2015. Obviously, there are vast market-potential and business opportunities in nanotechnology. Taiwan plans to invest NT$21.5 billion dollars to improve “National Science and Technology Program for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology” from the year of 2003 to 2008, however, the expenditure is less than U.S., Japan, etc. Therefore, Taiwan should integrate the resources of government and industry to develop nanotechnology in the important fields initially. The dissertation will adjust and build new formulas to do quantitative analysis according to “Economic Value” and “Competitive Advantage” of “Technology Radar” from Netherland to find the strategic nanotechnology and the advantage industries. The result of the dissertation is that Taiwan should develop “technology for nano-structured material to composite, to assemble and to process” and aggregate the resources in the industries related to “semiconductor industry” and “electronic material industry”. The dissertation analyses the industry environment, external environment, and internal environment of nanotechnology in Taiwan to find strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat. Moreover, the dissertation proposes strategic suggestions: 1. To guide traditional industries to advance and to transform. 2. To rework material secondly by import substitution to get advantage to commercialization fast. 3. To build a matching system to make the supply and demand of technology develop cooperatively. 4. To implement the basic knowledge of nanotechnology in education. 5. To build Valuable Instrument Centers to share resources and to exchange experience. 6. To hold seminars periodically to give opportunities to communicate and to grow for industries and academia in Taiwan. Shun-der Zhang 張舜德 2004 學位論文 ; thesis 135 zh-TW
