Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 合作經濟學系 === 92 === This article examines the data of the survey is collected from Statistics of “Taiwan Manufactures FDI Survey” in 2003. The sample is present FDI firms, and this report uses probit model to analyze the factors of the location choice China and uses ordered probit model to analyze the factors of the propensity of FDI to China. Then the research is compared with different industry model in the real factors of both. It is found that comparative advantage industry have higher probabilities FDI in high-income countries(America) are expansive foreign direct investment (FDI).And the recession industry have higher probabilities FDI in low-income countries(China) are defensive foreign direct investment (FDI). The resultants show that Taiwan market does not guarantee survival of the recession industry. The recession industry entering the market to go to the China invest is for the product cost-down. In proportion to other industry, the comparative advantage industry have more flexible, it will choice FDI to China for other factors.
