Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 電信工程學研究所 === 92 === Emerging demand for broadband and high data rates application has stimulated rapid development of wireless industry of nowadays. The 60 GHz band is expected to be a candidate for next-generation WLAN system since a wide range of spectrum has been allocated worldwide. In this thesis, propagation model, channel measurement and system simulation at the 60 GHz band will be studied. For the purpose of simulation of system performance, we have proposed a methodology about indoor wideband channel modeling, which will be extended to 60 GHz band. With practical works of measurement and computer simulation, we have successfully verified the feasibility and correctness of the proposed indoor channel model. In addition, fundamental channel characteristics of 60 GHz band are more understood by going through practical measurement and simulation works. We suggest that directive antennas should be equipped at the receiver end to provide reasonable link quality and system coverage. From the analysis of BER performance and link budget, it reveals that high data rates can be achieved with reasonable system coverage. Besides, human blockage will seriously degrade the system performance and reduce the area coverage.
